StoryLatia Schefe is the 2017 National NAIDOC Awards Youth of the Year. Latia was diagnosed with cancer at age six. She underwent multiple operations and chemotherapy but still lost a kidney. However, Latia studied at her hospital and graduated from school with awards recognising her leadership abilities.
