As a young Indigenous employment organisation, Miwatj Employment and Participation (MEP) in far North East Arnhem Land is committed to its staff development and has capitalised on the opportunity for skills transfer from the Jarwun secondment program.

More than 800 people attended the catwalk show at the Goolarri Amphitheatre in Broome for the tenth Kimberley Girl competition, created to support leadership and self-confidence among Indigenous girls in the region.

Facilitated by the Goondir Big Buddy program, seven Indigenous young men recently set sail on the STS Young Endeavour where they climbed the 30 metre mast, took the helm and in the process, gained life skills which have set them on the path to a brighter future.
