Rangers photo & video competition extended!
Following feedback received from a number of Indigenous Rangers Program and eligible providers, the NIAA has decided to extend the closing date for the competition further by four weeks to allow more additional time for organisations to prepare and make their submissions to the competition. The new closing date for the competition will be 2.00 pm AEDT on Friday, 28 November 2025.
Indigenous Rangers use traditional knowledge and cultural practices, combined with Western science, to manage land, river and sea Country and deliver environmental, cultural, social and economic development outcomes. The competition is a chance to showcase this unique work managing and protecting Australia’s natural and cultural heritage.
Prizes include drones, iPads and binoculars.
The competition is open to creators of all experience levels from organisations receiving funding from the Commonwealth Government for Indigenous land and water management activities. Entries can be captured on smartphones or cameras.
