NIAA seeking provider for Indigenous business verification and support services

Strengthening the IPP, opportunity for suppliers to deliver Indigenous business verification and online registry

On 13 August 2026, the NIAA released an Approach to Market (ATM) on AusTender for Indigenous Business Verification and Support Services, as part of reforms to the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP).

Through this ATM, the NIAA is seeking a provider to verify Indigenous businesses against the strengthened IPP eligibility criteria and provide an online registry of verified Indigenous businesses.

These services form an important part of the Government’s commitment to provide more opportunities for First Nations businesses and entrepreneurship, announced in February 2025.

Potential tenderers can find out more on AusTender.

Tenders will only be accepted through the process outlined on AusTender. Submissions close: Friday 18 September 2026.

Industry Briefing

NIAA is holding an industry briefing for potential tenderers on Thursday 20 August 2026. Attendance is not compulsory for tenderers.

To attend, register before Tuesday 18 August 2026. Details on how to register for the industry briefing are available through AusTender.
