Healing for Strong Families Program

The Healing for Strong Families program will offer culturally safe healing services for First Nations communities.

The Healing for Strong Families program will deliver culturally safe, place-based healing programs for families affected by family and domestic violence and at risk of engaging with the child protection system.

The Healing for Strong Families program will operate across the following locations:

  • Aurukun, QLD
  • Coffs Harbour, NSW
  • Port Augusta, SA
  • Perth, WA
  • Bidyadanga, WA
  • Ngukurr, NT
  • Numbulwar, NT.

The program will deliver Healing Models co-designed with community in each location. An overarching evaluation framework of the NIAA’s healing programs is being developed to strengthen the evidence base for culturally based healing approaches.

The program contributes to the National Agreement on Closing the Gap Targets 12, 13 and 14.

Grant rounds will be published on GrantConnect as they become available.

Eligible organisations are invited to apply via GrantConnect as each grant round opens.
