UPDATE: The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) and NTSCORP have made the decision to postpone the National Native Title Conference 2020 to 18 - 21 October 2020, as a result of the changing and widespread impacts of COVID-19.

Bumalehn Balang – Fight Strong!

The National Native Title Conference 2020 is being convened by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) and NTSCORP, hosted by the Minjungbal Bundjalung people on their Country in Tweed Heads, New South Wales.

Individual, Group & Sponsored Delegate Registrations for NTC20 are now open!

When: 25 - 27 May, 2020.
Where: Minjungbal Bundjalung Country, Tweed Heads, NSW.
Venue: Twin Towns Conference & Function Centre.

The conference, titled Bumalehn Balang – Fight Strong!, acknowledges the past 250 years of colonisation and creates a space for ideas and discussion about decolonisation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land, waters and resources.

In 2020 we acknowledge that it is time to reflect on colonial history and structures inherent in the native title legislation and processes and move towards a future of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ownership and leadership on their own terms.

A future that is governed and led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, taking their rightful place to provide the voice for the nation.

Innovate
A future of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander innovation in land, water and resource management practices, and responses to climate change and new technologies to provide commercial opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and drive the nation’s economy.
