Closing the Gap Fun Run and Walk

13 Feb 2020

Join the Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) for the Closing the Gap Fun Run and Walk at Lake Burley Griffin. Now in its fourth year, this event is about celebrating Indigenous achievement and the positive impact sport and recreation programs make in Indigenous communities.

The event is free and open to all members of the public. IMF Founder Robert de Castella AO MBE will be present, along with a number of IMF “Deadly Runners” and IMF program graduates.

The Closing the Gap Fun Run and Walk starts from Reconciliation Place, at the edge of Lake Burley Griffin. Arrive at 6.45am for a 7.00am start, and don’t forget to bring a water bottle!

To register, visit the IMF’s event page.

The IMF is a not‐for‐profit foundation established by former world champion marathon runner Rob de Castella which uses running as a means to promote healthy lifestyles and celebrate Indigenous resilience and success.

The IMF is proudly supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
