2019 AIATSIS National Indigenous Research Conference (ANIRC)
The 2019 AIATSIS National Indigenous Research Conference (ANIRC) full program is now available.The 2019 theme is Research for the 21st century
Co-convened with QUT, the conference will be held at QUT’s Gardens Point campus in Brisbane over three days, Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 July.
- Delivering Indigenous Data Sovereignty plenary panel session with Professor Maggie Walter, Associate Professor Ray Lovett, Associate Professor Gawaian Bodkin-Andrews, Dr Vanessa Lee and Professor Tahu Kukutai.
- The International Year of Indigenous Languages Public Lecture which will incorporate the launch of the Ngarinyman dictionary.
- Conference entertainment including Chris Tamwoy for the opening reception, Gala Dinner performances by Malu-Kiai Mura Buai Torres Strait Islander Dance Company, Emily Warramara and CKNU, with comedian Leon Filewood hosting the evening.
