Shared Responsibility Agreement
The Bidyadanga community want their children to have a prosperous future and see organised sporting activities as a first step towards this.
Currently children and young people use what community facilities are available during school hours and at night. Community residents want the sporting facilities that other communities enjoy and want young people to have activities to keep them occupied.
Through their SRA, the community and the Australian and Western Australian Governments are working to repair and upgrade the local basketball courts, and upgrade the playground and shaded areas.
Governments will provide funds while the community will run sporting programs and competitions and convert an existing community house into a youth activity centre.
The community will also be responsible for the upgrade of the adjacent playground and will establish barbeque and sheltered areas for community use.
