Shared Responsibility Agreement

The community at Hatches Creek want to reduce their dependence on welfare and as a first step have signed an SRA that will establish the infrastructure for a pastoral enterprise.

The community will provide labour to build cattle yards, fences, gates and water troughs and muster the cattle on the associated Anurrete Aboriginal Lands Trust. They will follow the advice of Indigenous Pastoral Development Officers.

The Australian Government will purchase the materials necessary to build the infrastructure. Indigenous Pastoral Development Offi cers will help the community to develop a sustainable venture.
