Shared Responsibility Agreement

The Murdi Paaki region is the New South Wales COAG trial site, and has already signed a number of SRAs involving both the region and individual communities within the region.

This regional SRA builds on previous initiatives to strengthen community and regional governance by providing eight community facilitators/solution brokers to help implement community plans through related SRAs. The facilitators will have a strong focus on community development and provide on-the-ground professional and executive support within communities for two years. Their placement is conditional on each community completing a community action plan.

Participating communities will help in monitoring the progress they make, and share information with other Community Working Parties in the Murdi Paaki region. Communities will actively develop partnerships with local government and the private and corporate sectors.

The Australian and New South Wales Governments are sharing the costs of employing the facilitators.
