Shared Responsibility Agreement
The Wellington community want to build stronger families and help young people at risk. They have been very active working with governments to achieve these goals.
The community have signed an SRA that will start with a concert and harmony day to promote local family and youth services. Following this, a consultant will work with the Wellington community to develop an action plan reflecting community priorities. Training in governance will also be provided to the newly formed Wellington Community Working Party.
The Community Working Party will organise the concert and harmony day and employ the consultant. Local people will take part in the concert and harmony day activities and help to develop the action plan. Community members will volunteer to mentor young people and be trained for this role.
The Australian Government will fund the concert and harmony day, the consultant, and the training.
Government agencies at all levels will take part in the harmony day by promoting their services. The Wellington Shire Council will support the event by providing free use of a venue.
