Townsville’s NRL Cowboys House will support more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young men to complete school, following a substantial investment from the Coalition Government’s Indigenous Advancement Strategy.
Corrina Ross is a young Aboriginal woman from Palm Island in Queensland who was worried she would have to leave home to get a job. But thanks to the Australian Government’s Community Development Programme (CDP), Corrina gained the skills required to get a job to stay on Palm Island and contribute to her community’s future.
NRL Cowboys House has opened in Townsville. It will increase opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from remote communities to fulfil their potential, providing them with a chance to study, undertake training and find a job.
