Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are areas of research and application that have helped modernise the world.  

‘The Indigenous STEM Awards recognise, reward and celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and scientists who are studying and working in the STEM field.’

The awards also recognise the important role that teachers, mentors and schools play in encouraging students to pursue STEM education and careers.

All Award winners will be invited to act as Indigenous STEM ambassadors for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth during 2018.
