Bill Espie - Aboriginal Chief Inspector
Celebrate the life and achievements of former NSW Chief Inspector Bill Espie.
Espie became the first Aboriginal person to join and then the highest-ranking police officer of Aboriginal descent in all the Australian police forces, joining the NSW Police 18 September 1961.
The National Trust (NT) McDouall Stuart Branch is organising this event, which will take place at the Hartley Street School, Alice Springs 11 am.
