What are your aspirations for the future?

I wish to continue my work with community in enhancing and promoting a positive way of life that encompasses social and emotional wellbeing. I strongly wish to promote cultural awareness within the wider community and also tolerance. My future career goal is in a health training role, helping other kooris achieve career goals within the workforce.

Who is your role model and why?

Aunties in community that have put in hard yards to make a difference for future generations are my role models, like Dr Naree Brown. Eddie Mabo who took on a prejudice white system and won. And further a field Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela.

What do you think makes a strong future?

Our mob being united in cause. Government modelling our policies on countries like New Zealand and Canada for they have strong functioning Indigenous community resources. And community empowerment, people being harmonious and not fighting. Infighting and faction causes more harm than good within Aboriginal Australia.
